ok, now I have Sirius Satellite and would like to know if anyone else either has this or XM and to find
out hard or easy it is to install. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I have that black box looking thing and yes it is plug and play. I
guess the only real question I have is what's the deal with teh antennae
itself. Sorry I just can't remember the name of the actual unit I bought it
direct from sirius' site.

The kits are relatively easy to install. Most kits come with a adhesive mounting bracket so just find the
place you want to mount it to and stick it on. Power is usually in the form of a cigarette lighter
adapter, and it connects to the radio either through a cassette adaptor (or mini jack to RCA
connections-the best way for connection if you have them) or through an FM modulator. I mounted my
satellite antenna behind the FM antenna on the roof, brought the wire down the driver's side door sill,
then under the dash, through the center console to the satellite radio base. Should take you a half hour
tops.

On a side note...
If you haven't opened the package, may I suggest you trade it in for XM. One reason is the equipment is
better. The other is the programming is excellent. Why Sirius? They are more expensive first of all
($12.95/month vs $9.95/month for XM). Football??? Who wants to listen to a football game. Football is
meant to be watched in HD on a large widescreen television. HooHoo Hooknose Howie?!? God his schtick is
soooooo awful, and his act is old. XM has O&A uncensored, and they are a laugh riot. Even on an
uncensored, anything goes format, they have already had a show that can no longer be talked about on air.
Let's just say it involved two 18-21 year old girls having lesbian sex, drinking Jagermeister, and taking
wiffle ball bats in the snatch. All the while trying to blow one of the show's interns. Jim Norton is a
show regular and his lines are priceless. If he's not talking about his "ladies of the evening" exploits,
he's making fun of everything. Some of his show gems are, "I can have sex to Taps at the funeral," or
when asked what age you are when you are in 5th grade, Norton responded, "Depends on what color you are."
Even a cringe line like "What's the best part about having sex with a four year old in the shower?
Slicking his hair back and pretending it's a two year old," are hysterical.

Sirius is only $9.95/month. Not sure where his numbers are coming
from. Plus Sirius has more channels. We have both services. My boss
has XM in his new truck, and I have Sirius in my car. Ive listened to
both allot. My opinion is that Sirius has better programing, but then
again that is going to depend on your taste. I would check out both
websites and make your own decision.

Like Steve said the install is real easy. I did the same thing only
mine runs to my in dash TV. I mounted the antenna just like his. Right
behind the FM Antenna.
