Why you should not turn rotors when you replace brake pads

Once a rotor warps, even though turning it will make the surface flat,
the vented box structure is still wavy and of varying thickness since
the high spots are cut off; the rotor is not a solid block that will
remain consistent in thickness after machining.  This makes the rotor
prone to rewarpage.  You should just replace it.
