I don't know if it's "the best", but I used Valvoline SynPower synthetic grease when I did my rear rotors and bearings last year. Several thousand miles and 5 track days later, still going strong. --Griff
same here..........have been using the Valvoline grease on all my VW's for many years now on a side note, has anyone ever had problems with the rear toe setting on their mk3 GTI? I just had an alignment done a few days ago and they said that the rear toe was out of spec and that thye couldn't adjust it............I have seen shims used on rear spindles before but am wondering if maybe the spindle has gotten bent at some point. -Cory
