Using the Passat's front anti-roll bar on the GTI VR6

I was told by a autocrosser and racer that the passat front sway bar if
obtained from a junkyard is a great replacement for the n-speed one which
costs 150 bucks or so.  The guy said that if you find one then you only need
to buy the (28) rear one and your car will corner flatly at a fraction of the price.
