All,

My understanding, and I have the H&R springs straight from the warehouse
in Washington State because Neuspeed couldn't come up with any rear
springs due to this fiasco, is that the H&R's are exactly the same
EXCEPT that they are 1/4" LESS of a drop.

Dan is correct here, yet in our experience 1/4" variance is hardly noticable.
I flat out asked the saleman at H&R what the difference was between the
Neuspeed badged H&Rs and theirs, and he replied "not much". The Neuspeed
Sport lowering springs are "rated" at a 1.75" f drop, and a 1.5" r, while the
H&Rs are 1.5" f and 1.25" r. Seeing that the lowering among all the Neuspeed
Sport Springs I've installed varied as much as a 1/2" (mostly in rear height,
and was related to shock choice), I truly believe that a 1/4" difference is
not significant. I'm telling people that for all intents and purposes, the
H&R Lowering have the same specs as the Neuspeed Sport Lowering.

Here's the SCOOP....

I just got off the phone with Todd at Air & Water in Philly. Here are some
vitals on the springs...

What|> H&R Lowering Springs.
Rates|> Progressive, 175 to 225 (stock are rated somewhere between 130 &
160)
Lowering distance:|> 1.5" Front / 1.25" Back

- Offer good for at least the next 30 days: $179
- Bilstein Sports are available for $470

In comparison, Autobahn International ( http://www.autobahnint.com/ ) is
offering Eibachs for $239.95 with an average lowering of 1". I do not know
the difference, but it's always good to know what else is out there.

Lets hear some opinions. Is this a good spring and a good deal? Are
progressives good or bad??

Joe
