I have the AVO's on my 95 and I like them. I don't know if they are
gen. 1 or 2, since they came on the car when I bought it. The ride is
comfortable but a bit too soft. I prefer stiffera springs even if tehy
make the ride harsher. I had Eibach Pro-kits on my previous car(not a
VW) and I loved them. Very stiff and handled great. If I were to buy
new coilovers, I would go with the H&R's.

Subject: [gti-vr6] AVO Coilovers vs. H&R Coilovers
Does anybody on the list have any experiences with either one of these
setups?? I'm thinking about purchasing a set of coilovers, but amstuck
between the AVO's and H&R's. I've heard all the horror stories of
thefirst
generation AVO's, but havn't heard anything about the "new"
2ndgeneration.
I' have also heard nothing but great things about the H&R's, but i'mnot
so
sure about the idea that the shocks are not fully adjustable...
whilethe
AVO's are 24-way adjustable. Another thing is warranties. Is it
truethat
H&R's come with a 1 year warranty, while the AVO's have a
lifetimewarrany
through CFI??? Anyone have any ideas, thoughts, or comments
aboutthese two
products??
