ok all i need your help on this. i replaced the ring on the hub for the horn
contact on the steering wheel because it broke apart and was making a
scrapping sound.
well after taking apart the airbag and such and finally reinstalling
it....btw, if yours goes bad also....the part # is 1HO-959-653 and costs
$92.70 from the dealer.
well now the air bag light is staying on and i tried resetting the computer
by leaving the ground wire off of the battery for several minutes. even
tried it numerous times with no luck. i really don't want to go back to the
dealer and pay outrageous prices just to have my computer reset by them. is
there an easy fix to save me time and hassle from the dealer?

thanks in advance, nate
airbag light always on edition.

i believe this ring was defective when the dealer replaced my steering wheel.
stay away from autobarn in evanston, il bad news!!!!!!

I had a scraping wheel since my first track day (it drove me nuts). I
eventually figured out that if you look behind the steering wheel towards
the bottom left side, there is a spring loaded contact that accumulated a
bunch of dirt and misc. crap. i took a torn t-shirt rag and slid it between
the wheel and the contact and made sure that everything was clean back
there. scraping is now gone. i added just a touch of contact lube to
replace what i whipped off. BTW: i have the stock wheel.
