The only factory block heater offered up here when I checked last year consisted
of an external element to heat the oil pan and an aluminum bracket to mount it in
place. This reatiled for something in the neighbourhood of $130-140 Cdn. So I
opted for the $19 magnetic oil pan heater. Same element without the aluminum
bracket. Seemed to work fine. The engine cranked over easy with the oil warm.
The dealer told me that there was no room for an internal water jacket heater, if
there was I would have liket to have had both.
