Uwe, I think you posted a question a few weeks ago about the "parts content"
information for our cars. I was just digging through my VW folder and found
a little blue card that came with my car. It says:

Parts Content Information
For Vehicles in this Carline:
U.S./Canadian Parts Content: 10%
Major Sources of foreign parts Content:
Germany 50%
Mexico 35%
For this Vehicle:
Final assembly point: Puebla, Mexico
Country of origin:
Engine parts: Germany
Transmission Parts: Germany
------------------------------------------
The card itself even has a part number: W42GGTI98. Imagine the look you'd
get from the service advisor when you asked for that one! {8-D)
