Hey listers,
I needed to track down the source of a mysterious front-end wobble.
I hit the local junkyard and for $20 I picked up a pair of scissor jacks
from 80's-90's nissans. One came from a 280Z, one from a sentra. They have a
very similar head on them that locks into the jack rail of the GTI. I never
liked the way the floor jack worked with the GTI, and for the driveway I
always liked the scissor jack- except the one that comes with the car is
really scary.
so, for $20, it might make your tire rotations a lot easier.
turns out my wobble is in the tire, not the front end, by the way :)
