We recommend using the TT valve springs. They are not OEM, but of another
origin. A TD inner valve spring can be used to provide proper full lift
clearance (068 109 633), but I like the higher spring rate of the TT's as an
extra precaution for high rpm usage. Plus, you're already in there...
BTW, Schrick states in the "Precaution for camshaft installation" section of
their catalog that "at max. valve lift, the compressed valve springs must have
a travel reserve of 1.0-1.5mm. The valve spring installed length must be
selected accordingly". With the 268s, coil clearance at max lift is less than
1mm.

Subject: [gti-vr6] Which springs for schrick 268's
Are the hd springs (inner only?) that TT sells a factory vw part? If so
whart are they out of and what is the part number? Thanks.
