The knowledge to gain more ponies is continuing... I discovered that the
euro 2.9 L OBD I Corrado intakes has a larger plenum area (similar to what
EIP does to their big bore intakes) and thus higher flow in the mid-high rpm
range. This will not give you the midrange gains like a VGi, but for top
end linear power in the forced induction arena, this is da bomb. The euro
manny can use a little more work to open up the post throttle body ramp and
have the runners opened up further. For those who wants to run out and pick
one up from across the pond, good luck.
We'll have the new bottom end in and tuned by Waterfest. Hopefully I'll
have a dyno sheet on display (400+ rhp) at the same time. Bileeeee, can't
beat displacement. Can't beat your factory reliability of the stock
Motronics either!
