Hi
I have a very small pin prick leak from the plastic "T" peice that is on the hoses engine to top of rad
and then t's off back to header tank.
Would anyone advise for or against using the type of
chemical sealing stuff you add to the cooling liquid? It is G12 coolant
My long term solution is a Stainless mod peice to
replace this plastic bit.

Very common leak site; I have it too, even with my Samcos. Check out
http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2043407, about 2/3 down the first page you'll see a CNC'd billet
piece made by a guy in North Carolina (Vortex name is a2t2). I just bought one of these Y-pipes, it should
be here later this week. I don't think any chemical sealant will do more than temporarily solve the
problem, if at all. And I sure don't want a bunch of gummy crap sludging up my coolant system over time.
