Problem: I broke my rear-right motor mount. It sorta went slowly and got
worse and worse. Finally, it has broken my exhaust pipe. I don't know where,
but it LOUD AS SH!T!!!!!! Oh my god, it goes right through your skull!!!
In my religion, when something OEM breaks, it time to upgrade it. So where
do I start. For reference, the dealer quoted me $97.50. parts4vws.com only
seems to have the complete kits, upper and lower, and theye like $200. Too
big for my budget. Also, there isn't a procedure for changing the mount. Any
help would be great. The fun part is it so loud that it sets off car
alarms. Sort of comical.

OK, I saw the T2 mount. It's just a cylindrical piece of plastic. Is that
all I should need or is there more to it?

No. Those are just inserts. If it BROKE such that your engine dropped and
broke your downpipe, that one won't help. Both the front and rear mounts
are divided into an upper and lower half, with large bushings inside each
(known as inserts). There is nothing to break on the insert in the upper
half, they just get squished over time. The lower insert can break (and
they do all the time). Replacing with a Turn2 lower insert will fix that.

The other thing that breaks often is the bolt that goes in the upper half,
but that keeps the engine from rocking not dropping.

Check if all the bolts are ok, then go after the lower insert(s). That is
if the mounts appear intact from above, and are still bolted to the engine.
