Hi Ted,

<< Todd,

What are the differences between v.11 and my v.10 for the OBDII VR6? I
 have
(i think) a 259-AA EPROM. Anything *significantly* different? BTW-
 I've
never had better gas mileage w/ G's chip, it has been down about 1 mpg
 (avg.)
over the past 4 months since I've put it in. Is this a bad sign (ie.
 not the
best chip for my engine management) >>

V .11 is the standard version shipping now, but was really only a fix for
those people experiencing pinging with V .10. There is no value in upgrading
unless you are currently experiencing ping.
I don't feel 1mpg to be statistically significant. I wouldn't worry about it.

Regards,
Todd

I talked with Garrett directly when up at Todd's getting upgraded
from .08 to .10. To quote (approximately): ".11 is for people
having pinging problems." End of story.

Jud.

PS Pinging problems were a surprise to him, and possibly
attributed to lower quality gasoline (conjecture), so he made this
new version with slightly less aggressive timing maps.

May not be related to your Garrett chip at all...
Is your car OBDII? I recently had a check engine
light that was caused by a faulty spark plug wire...
Don't be so quick to chalk it up to Garrett--go get
it scanned and let us know...
