Well, after the 3rd exhaust in 1.5 yrs on the car, I think I've finally
found a keeper. :-)

I decided to give the eurosport exhaust a try. It consists of a long 2 ft
resonator after the cat (perforated straight thru tube surrounded by
stainless steel packing) then the over th axle pipe, into a rear muffler
with the same design as the resonator. The muffler looks like a Magnflo,
but I can't say for sure as it's only stamped with the eurosport logo.

It fit perfectly. The install was a snap, everything lined up very well.
The system comes stock with a 3.5" single wall steel tip, kinda like the
stock corrado one. I decided to stick with that rather than spend more $
and get something flashy. Subtle and cheap is good!

It has a very nice deep burbly sound at idle and a good scream under load.
Cruise sound is surprisingly mellow. It's not intrusive and I can converse
with passengers in a normal speaking tone. The radio can be heard easily.
It remains to be seen if the volume will increase as the system burns in.
I'll give an update after this weekend, as I'm driving from Cleveland to Mt
tremblant (700+ miles) for a drivers school.

All in all, I'd highly recommend this system to anyone looking for a nice
2.25" performance exhaust. The system was well built, with very heavy
gauge steel and a snap to install. The only drawback is that it isn't
stainless steel.

Have to say I was pretty disappointed in this exhaust system. I was looking
for something that sounded like the Leistritz that I used to have on my old
Corrado (same nice sound throughout the revs). It seems that up till about
32OO the thing sounds very buzzy (like being followed by a million bees as
someone put it). Then it drops off and sounds pretty good after that and
especially when your on it. The tip on this thing looked like a rice burning
coffee can style Borla chrome thing. That had to go and I put a dual black
powder DTM on it. All in all its a bit much for my taste but for $250 or
whatever, it'll do for now.
Later
Allen
