Gentle-peoples,
The Autotech T304 stainless exhaust that I got from Jason Whipple (thanks
bro), is now installed and rockin'. In two words; f*ckin' schweet!!!!!
Had it installed at a custom muffler shor, and the cost was only $73 with
tax! Very happy with that. Could tell the difference the second I boomed
away from the place. History; had the stock exhaust with the "suitcase"
resonator chopped out some time ago. Needless to say, the new set-up is
light years ahead of that.
The modded stock system I had, had a "drone" to it between 2-3000 rpms. Not
super annoying, but present nonetheless. The Autotech exhaust sounds
sweeter throughout the powerband, and in the 2-3000rpm range, the "drone"
was replaced with a nice deep-bass-sounding "boom". It's not too loud at
all. Heck, my wife didn't even notice the difference! Heh, ain't life grand?
Now, the power. Some had said, and experienced a slight loss of low-end
(and now I think, perhaps, mid-range) torque with the suitcase resonator
chopped out. I, myself, noticed an extra "pop" in power up top. This
exhaust has definately boosted my mid-range torque. One man's mid-range may
be another's low-end, but there's definately more get-up-and-go from stop
lights and stuff.
And the sound, damn, it's like music. Can't wait for the Spring/Summer to
roll around again for the windows to be down!!
Lastly, there is a helluva bad-ass polished aluminum 3.5 inch cannon,
poking out from my exhaust portion of the rear bumper. Wow.
This mod gets an "A".
