I have a dyno chart comparing the stock chip to the garrett in my car
on my website:

I only gained about 5 peak hp but as you can see the gains are much
greater throughout most of the rpm band. You won't notice a thing the
first time you drive your car after changing the chip but the second or
third time, when the ecu learns the new software, you will notice much
better throttle respnse and a smoother climb to peak power.
BTW I am in no way affiliated with Garrett nor do I sell his products,
or any products for that matter.
Good Luck

Chip: Is the Garrett chip still the best way to go? I've looked on his site
and he states about 8 HP increase, so I guess it's hard to tweak out much
more from the VR-6. I'm beginning to wonder if the benefits from the chip
are more psychological than actual. I couldn't find a Dyno run for comparison.
