Donkey has a problem with his washers:

For the past week or two I haven't been able to get my windshield washers
to spit the fluid. Its not cause they're frozen because A. its warm out,
and B. They're heated. I checked the resorvoir and I had enough fluid but I
decided to fill it up a bit anyway. I unscrewed the cap and it all burst
out like a soda can exploding. I filled it up a bit more but nothing will
come out unless I hold the stalk back for a couple secs then the right
nozzle will bubble but nothign will come out far enough to clear the hood
and nothing at all from the left one. Anyone have any suggestions? The car
is still under warranty but I'd like to get this done with minimal hassle.
Thanks..

Geoff, I own a 97 GLX and had a similar problem and finally found the solution.
Open your hood and look at the right side where the wiper fluid hoses run.
What I suspect is happening (this was my problem) is the hoses get kinked when
the hood is shut. My washers were similar to yours and wouldn't squirt nada.
I must be careful EVERY time I close my hood to make sure the hoses slide into
the engine compartment unkinked (a minor PITA, but a PITA nonetheless).
Problem
is, that once the hoses are kinked it's almost impossible to un-kink them. I'm
hoping the heat from the engine will eventually soften/straighten the hoses.
Hope this solves your problem.

Ok, here's a crazy one. My nozzles don't spray, I hear the washer motor working, and the tank is
full, but no washer. If I put the hood up, so the nozzles point down, they work fine. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Max

I know exactly what it is. The hose is getting pinched when you close the
hood. I took the hose out of the plastic clip attached to the hood and it
works fine. Give it a try.
