The upcoming Seat Bolero: http://wso.net/ross/misc/bolero_02.JPG
Specs: 2.8Liter V6, two turbos, 500Nm, 330hp, 6-Speed Tiptronic, all
wheel drive. Of course, we'll never get it here...

**************

There was a guy who had a jammed-up sunroof. He was expecting to pay
mucho money to have it fixed. Here's my translation of how he fixed it:

} There is a arm at the end of the "sled" which regulates the height
} of the roof with the help of a small wheel. This wheel had broken
} off and this caused the the roof to raise too soon. Luckily, this
} arm including the wheel can be purchased as a spare part from VW
} (Nummer 357 877 385) for DM9.86. So everyone that's got a similar
} problem, please look all the way in the back and see if the wheel
} is still there, you can save a lot of money. In order to see it,
} all you have to do is to open the roof in the UP direction and you
} can see the "sled". When you swap out the part, be careful!
} It's attached with a (circlip?) remove it very carefully because it
} wants to try to fly away and a new one will be hard to find.

So I just went and checked out my (not jammed) roof. I think he's
talking about the spring loaded "rocker" arm that you can see from the
top (one on each side) if you put the roof in the "up" position. The
"wheel" referred to looks more like a (rubber?) bushing to me. This
rocker arm has a part number on it, but it's very small and given the
angle, I can't make it out.

In any case, I remember some reports that there are no individual spare
parts available for our sunroofs. Is this still true (here in the US?).
