The wipers on my 98 VR6 have been acting weird. Actually, it's been acting
this way since new. When I start the car in the morning and put the wiper
on intermittent [slowest], it budges then does not wipe. I can then put it
in the first speed and it will wipe. Then I switch it back to intermittent.
It will budge but will not wipe. First speed, wipe. Then intermittent, and
it will wipe. It will then wipe fine at intermittent for the rest of the
day. It usually happens overnight, or when the car is cold. Anyone else
notice this? It's not really a big deal, but just an annoyance...

Now that it's getting cold around here ... I've started noticing my wipers
acting up as well. I'll put 'em on intermittent, and they'll wipe. Once.
Then, they budge a time or two like you describe, then no problems after
that. It hasn't really annoyed me enough yet to worry about it. Besides,
any day now I'll actually pick up the phone and order that programmable
relay. Maybe it'll solve the problem ...

My 98 ginster did it do me tonight for the first time. It moved up approx.
1 inch up from it's resting place and stopped. Swiched it off and on to
intermitent again. Same result. I left it there and it started to wipe
about a block down the road later. Oh, yah. This was after a cold start.

Sigh..
Me too. Happened first time today, while driving around in the snow.
I was like.. "Ohh.. that's what everyone's talking about." My passenger
was confused. And like everyone else's it started working by itself after
a couple cycles.

This has happenned to me also. And it goes away after a few cycles so I
never had it looked at.
