Simple but annoying problem. I can't seem to get the connection tight on the positive terminal of my
battery. I tried to start my car a couple days ago and had absolutely no juice. I was going to jump it
but as I was putting the cables on I realized that my connection was loose to the point where I could
easily pull it right off. After wiggling it around I heard the current jump and noticed my interior light
was on so I definitely had power. The car of course started so I tried to tighten up the screw to prevent
it from happening again. I tightened it as much as I could and even though the screw was tight, the
connection was still pretty loose (I can still turn it and even pull it off fairly easily). The car has
started fine the last couple days and even if it doesn't I guess I can just wiggle the connection again to
get juice but of course I'd rather not have to worry about it. Any suggestions on why I can't get the
"connector" (sorry, not sure what the term is) to stay tight on the battery terminal.

I've used these on nearly every car or truck I've had since high school.
Pull the + battery terminal off and cut the wires. Strip them back and
either put them in this type of terminal:

or add wire terminals:

and use a ring type battery terminal:

Your other super cheap 10 minute option is to get a strip of brass about
.500" wide and .0625-.125" thick. wrap it around something slightly
smaller than your battery terminal and cut it to make a round shim.
Brass is an alloy of copper and lead so a little heat will make it bend
easily. If it is too thick you can flatten it out and beat it thinner
with a hammer.
Your shim should look something like this:
