Installed my Dual Rounds this weekend, after my bumper trauma of the
hit and run, with my VW Mechanic. He helped me as a favor. I don't
think it hurt that I bring him beer every once in a while at the dealer!
The directions provided by Potterman were precise, concise, and easy to
read and use. The Potterman kit is definitely it. I don't know how
the other kits work, PZWO and such, but this one is about as drop in
as you can get.
The lighting is way better than stock, and pardon the cliche but the
difference is night and day. Bright low beams with wicked powerful
high beams. As far as aesthetics go it just looks great. I did not
paint the surrounds, and the look is real sharp with the smoked
surrounds and smoked lights with the black car. The coolest thing is
the city light feature of the Dual Rounds, with the city light being
inside the high beam.
Immediately after the install I went to my tint/clear bra shop and had
the lenses covered with a new 20 mil clear protector that is harder
than the old stuff, allowing the same coverage but with a lower gauge
plastic which allows for less heat build up. I am psyched!
I ordered the Dual Rounds from Todd at A&WE back during the summer, and
finally got around to doing the install. Great mod for performance
and also for looks. I recommend it highly.
