Punch in this number 1H0-907-305 in at http://wwww.vwparts.com

BTW, in general I've found vwparts.com's prices to be VERY
competitive. Between them and germanautoparts.com and parts4vws.com
all my needs are usually covered.

Got my controller today from vwparts.com.. took about 10
minutes to put it in.. went for a drive, cruise is working,
solid, reliable, like new again.

Anyone with a flaky cruise should certainly perform the diagnostics before
going this route, but once you've done that and all the other
tests have passed, this is the cure. Not cheap though.
Now if I could just figure out which component on the old
controller failed, and figure out how to replace/fix it
that'd rock. It's probably one of the logic chips though
rather than something as simple as a fried cap/resistor/relay.

It's not uncommon for the cruise control electronics module to go out. I finally broke down and bought
one a couple of months ago. There's some info. in the library on testing the module to determine if it is
in fact the problem. Parts4vws.com can get the module for a reasonable price. It's still not cheap
($315, IIRC), but they had the best price, even factoring in shipping to SC from CA.

Next on the list - the @#$%ing ABS module! Yet another fine piece of commonly failing VW engineering . .
. .

Luke
