FWIW, my cruise stopped working a little while back - what it actually was that went wrong was the
actuator that hooks up to the accelerator (aka the Loud Pedal) had come unscrewed... See if there's a
loose bit hanging down from above the left hand side (? - I'm in a Right Hand Drive car) of the pedals
that looks like it's just hanging there - if so, let me know and I can look up more detailed instructions
of where it has to go... It's a long shot, but worth a try...

Yep, down inside the car, where the pedals are - lay on your back and look up above the pedals, towards
the front of the car. If there's something hanging down towards (and I'm just guessing here, as your
pedals and steering wheel are on the other side to me) the left that doesn't seem like it's attached to
anything then this is part of the actuator for the cruise...
