Hi, a couple of weeks ago my rear wiper arm was broken in 2 pieces. I glued
it with a strong glue but it didn't last for a long time.
I don't have the partnumber of my own rear wiper arm but on the web I found
a part number 1H6 955 707. The question is, the rear wiper arm
is the same in all golfs or the GTI and VR6 has a different one?

Did the wiper arm break off near the bottom?
Mine did that over the summer.
It kept missing spots on the window and it seemed that there was just no pressure on the blades. after
messing with it it wound up breaking off in my hand.
It broke just up from the spring, it seems as if the spring tension was causing a stress fracture that
gradually spread.
I picked up a new on from the dealer, the same part number as on the old arm, but The part was redesigned
with a bit of reinforcing right where mine broke off, so VW must have had some problems with them and
known about the weak spot.
I could get the part number when I get home tonight for you if you need it.

Hi, thank you, I just coudn't wait and went to the dealer. Apparently the
part number is the same for all mk3, mine was broken on the same area you
mention,
and the new one is reinforced in that place too. It seem it's a common
problem because I went to 2 dealers fist and they were out of stock.
