Hey guys,
Pulled out my intsrument cluster today (seein what the install is like
for new gauges). I was wondering......if you unplug the cluster from the dash
(connected by just one plug right?) does the total milege erase itself and
start again from 0? I just want to know if I can unplug it and not worry
about the mileage. For those of you that have had mileage set back to zero,
is there any legal way to make note of what the current mileage used to be. I
prefer doing this by myself and not taking it to the dealer. By the way, I am
also in the process of changin the interior lights from puke green to a sweet
looking blue. My cluster lights up blue already, now to get the mileage and
clock to light up blue! That's also why I want to get the cluster out, gotta
get to the clock to see how it lights up! Any comments/tips? Thanx ahead of
time! L8R
    Matt

It will NOT change. The mileage is stored in some kind of flash eprom...

Nope. The mileage is stored on a chip in the gauge cluster. The old
reading will pop back up once you plug it back in.
