I have 30% up front and 20% on the rears. My tint is metalized. This
means it contains no dye. It will not fade or turn purple. It's not as
"dark" as dyed film, but looks cool. Metalized film reflects the sun's
rays. Dyed film absorbs it, which is why it turns purple. The metalized
film looks great on my black car. And will last pretty much forever.  It
costs more. But is worth it. I'm in Texas BTW.
