Hey Rich,

Would you mind posting this to the list.

Jamex Hood Lifts 43 bucks plus shipping from D6 Racing in Fort Worth,
Texas. 817 595 3009. This is not a special purchase, this is the price
all the time. I have them and they work great. Mount in existing holes
and all of the good stuff. 20 minute install. Just passing on a good
deal.

Billy T.

TOM,

try EUROTECH ATLANTA at (770) 794-7240 and ask for Brian. They carry
Jamex hood lifts for A1, A2, and A3 VW's, the cost I believe is $45.00
for a bright red pair and they are in stock.

Hope this helps,

Well, I did the hood struts job,
I dealt with EUROTECH ATLANTA at (770) 794-7240, Brian. They carry
Jamex hood lifts for A1, A2, and A3 VW's, the is $49.00 + shipping.
They are bright red and in stock.

The whole job took about 20min. Looks and works great. The more I open
the hood, the more I appreciate it.
TomV
BTW much cheaper that Neuspeed.

Yeh, but still not the best purchase price. I don't mean to be a tool
here, but why buy from Eurotech when you can get the exact same pieces for
only 38 dollars plus shipping. That's an 11 dollar discount. That price is
even better than all the pep boys ideas that involve extra parts and labor.
JH Autosport sells them for 38 dollars. (610) 965-3290.
Maybe its just me, but 11 dollars isn't something I'd consider pocket
change and just throw away.
Flame Suit Fired up and ready to go. Yee Hah !

Eurotech Atlanta, which is listed in the archives, doesn't have them in
stock. Brian admitted he's been having trouble contacting Jamex by phone...
after I asked him if it is true Jamex is out of business. I tried HPA, they
don't have it either. I also called Denon, who confirmed that Jamex is out
of business and will not be carrying Jamex products. They said they will
probably start selling the Bonrath Powerlifts.

I ended up getting something similar but different brand (STW) from PG
Performance in Canada. They are nickle plated and cost about the same as
the Jamex hoodlifts. They have specific models for our cars, the Corrados,
and the A2 GTIs. URL for PG is http://www.pgperformance.com./ The lifts are
not listed on the web site, but PG's phone number is.
