Trunk release not work?

Bor, Sorry to correct, but the rear lock mechanism is comprised of a
electrical solenoid and a piece of linkege. Due to VW continually use of
space age plastic the linkege rod is threaded and located on the lock
mechanism is another threaded rod. The space age plastic connects the two
together. The fix is to remove the cover open the plastic connector and
slip the rod closer together. Reconnect close the lock manually and test be
hitting the inside button to see if it pops open.
