I recently bought the hoodlifts from AutoZone part number E95212 (i believe)

and it seems to be missing some integral parts! Like, the little "ball
joints"
at each end. Do any of you know where i could get these? My kit didnt come
with
them, it says to use the existing hardware, but as we all know, im upgrading

from that cumbersome and ugly hood support metal bar. It was pretty
frustrainting to try and assembly that thing without what seems to be key
parts! any info you guys have would be much oblidged!

I looked around for those a while ago and I didn't ever find any. None of
the hardware stores had them. I went to a couple specialty fastener places
and they didn't know either. I did find one place online but never bothered
to contact them.

and specifically

http://www.springfixlinkages.com/inch_threaded_ball.htm

or if you want metric

http://www.springfixlinkages.com/metric_threaded_hardened.htm

The kit from Autozone should have come with them, if not take it back and
get a kit that does. That's where I got mine.

FWIW, another option is to get one hatch strut from a TT and you only need
one and it works very well. You will, however, need to source your own ball
stud.
