It is a blue bar of "clay like stuff" supposedly you can use it
to polish your entire car but I would only use it on areas where they is
 tar, bird shit, paint etc.

Just for the record... in our detail shop at Emmons Coachworks, we clean
every car we work on with Clay Magic, before going on to the Zymol. Not just
spots - every painted surface, metal or plastic, whether its our personal VW
or the vintage Ferraris. It does work on tar and the like, but it also works
on just eliminating the rough feel of paint that has gone through a typical
Chicago winter. Also works well on the windshield. The stuff is great, and not
at all harmful to the paint - quite the opposite, in our experience....

There is two different kinds of Clay Magic, a blue bar and a red bar.
The blue is gentle on the paint so if you have a dark car you should use
the blue, the red is a more aggressive compound. I use the blue on my
car and my sisters black 96 Jetta and have no scratches from the clay,
The times I have used the red it has not left scratches but I have been
tol that its not a good ide to use the red on any dark color car. You do
not use this every time ou clean your car, in Florida I use it every
fourth wash so thats about once a month. I have detailed alot of cars
with this product and people are amased with how smooth the paint feels
afterword. If you have any further questions feel free to ask me.

You're not really supposed to press that hard with the stuff- I find
that light rubbing usually gies the best results. You can actually feel
the paint smoothen out as you rub it.

SECRET: the spray liquid in the bottle is really soapy water, or so it
seems to me. I find the bar works well with just plain old car wash
soap. Then, just hose the thing down when you're done. I add it as an
extra step in my wash routine- heck, this was the ONLY stuff that would
take the black dots off my pure white Mustang's paint. It makes a
helluva difference on the smoothness of the black GTI paint as well.
