I was told the part number is 92516 which is correct. The full name on the
package is SACHS Stabilus Lift O Mat. There is another part number that some
of the same part was labeled. It's SG329001. Some had had both numbers, some
had one or the other. They come with the ball-joint bolts and small washers.
Get a couple of 3/8 or so washers at the HW store. You'll need 4. Check the
strut packages, I got one that was missing the bolts and had to return it.
The struts were $23.99 at one Pepboys and $24.99 at the other I had to go to
because the one didn't have any more. Good luck, let me know if you have
question. Easy project. Takes 30mins including time to find tools. :-)

Almost no modification at all. All you install are 2 bolts with ball shaped
tips on them. One (the longer one) just replaces one of the bolts that
attaches the hood to the hood hinge, same thread and everything. The other
is a bolt that pins down the fender. On that one, the hole is smaller so you
have to enlarge it just a bit. I took a 9/32 drill bit and just opened it up
a little and then used the bolt that I removed from the hood hinge to kind
of make threads (remember? Same threads.). It's just sheet metal so when you
screw in the ball joint bolt, make it snug but don't over-tighten. Then you
just snap each end of the strut down and you're almost done. Last thing,
show it to your girlfriend she'll stand there and contemplate why she goes
out with such a car dork. :-) P.S. All this is in the library with some
great pics. Make sure you look them over and you'll understand the
procedure.

Josh, how much modification did you have to
do to get them hooked up properly, drill holes, etc?
